Q:So you think that pregnancy should be some sort of a punishment for having sex irresponsibly? You do realize that plenty of unplanned pregnancies result from responsible sex, since the contraceptives didn't work the way they were supposed to, don't you? Do you think those responsible women should be punished, too? [continued in next message]
What does responsible or irresponsible sex have to do with anything? No matter what, if you’re planning on having sex (with or without contraception), you should either be able to support a possible child or put it up for adoption. If you’re not capable of either of those, you should abstain from sex until you’re mature and responsible enough to make that decision. If you seriously think you’re being “punished” by having a baby, you don’t deserve to ever have one.
If you’re getting an abortion because you can’t support a child, maybe you shouldn’t have sex at all because you’re not responsible for the outcome. In rape/incest cases, I can understand.
You know, there are adoption agencies that would be ecstatic to put that child in a loving home, if you’re unfit to care for it.
I would never put myself in a situation with a girl whom I knew would get an abortion, I couldn’t do that.
